Why Ennis?

In a word, Ennis is a great place to be! It’s a peaceful and traditional Irish town full of charm which is one of the best places in Ireland to experience nature in all its glory. It’s located in County Clare, close to the famous Cliffs of Moher.

What to do?

The perfect thing to do in Ennis is horse-riding! If you’d love to ride the grasslands and forests of the areas, get in touch with Drumcliffe Equestrian. They’re a family-run horse-riding centre which will take you on the greatest adventures of your life.

All ages and experience are welcome and you have also the opportunity to ride indoors with riding lessons. You can also come with a group or celebrate your birthday here.

Recommended Tours

Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher are must-sees when you come to Ennism, so make sure you get in touch with Barratt Tours and sign up for one of their amazing adventures.

The first stop is at Leamenagh Castle where you can take a picture and listen to the stories about the castle. After this you will drive to the Caherconnell Stone Fort where you can get an audio tour.

From there, it’s  only a short hop to the world famous Poulnabrone Tomb which is absolutely impressive! Then you drive on the scenic coastal drive of Black Head which takes you around the shores of Galway Bay.

If you’re really lucky you might have a sunny, clear day and you can enjoy the view of The Aran Islands. The last stop is the highlight of the tour – The Cliffs of Moher. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the views from atop the cliffs and see the visitor experience.
